SO my new baby! She's basically... a Hindu fairy/nymph/siren type thing. Well.. her family is. She could of originated from Thailand or even China but... I'm sort of biased to lean toward India xD
Her mother is what's called an apsara while her father is a gandharva. Here's a thing about apsaras and here's one about Gandharvas. Those are the male and female titles of Geeti's species.
The women are supposed to be all slender and vixony with lotus eyes and entrancing dance skills which allow them to hypnotize people while their husbands, the gandharvas play drums and music.

Geeti gets a LOT of flack from not just other girls in her family and clan but her mother as well. Most "outcast" apsaras" are girls who are born as such but have some type of thing holding them back.... or simply put, the rest of the clan think they are too ugly to entrance people. The clan has their own idea of an 'it' ghoul and if that requirement is not met, then that ghoul can't dance.

For Geeti this has always been hard because her father is head of her clan. While they aren't rich or swimming in gold, her father and mother are highly respected within their community. Her father gets orders straight from their head of heaven and thus, informs the other apsaras and gandharvas.
Geeti has always been on the heavy side and therefore has gotten a lot of flack for this. It is expected of her to be a dancer like the other women but she is often made fun or or ridiculed. The thing is, she doesn't want to be a dancer but no one has given her the chance to explain. Being only 14, Geeti has a lot of time to decide what she wants to do but often feels like she's being pressured.
She has a bit of trouble with anxiety, trust and keeping secrets.
Her father convinced her mother to have them move to America so that Geeti can at least get a chance to see what else is there in the world. Her mother, of course is still none to happy about this and wants her baby ghoul to slim down and be a dancer like her. Like her father, however Geeti has more of a fondness for horses and woodworking.

There's an old Indian story about a man who was entranced by an apsara. He said them to have lotus flower eyes. Of course, I'm sure this wasn't literal but I thought it would look cool anyway, so I gave Geeti lotus eyes xD

Anyway.... that's about as much as I've gotten for her, in terms of character development XD
She's still pretty new and I haven't used her yet but she'll be starting school eventually as a freshmen.
